Cyclope Employee Monitoring Software

Internet Monitoring

Cyclope Employee Surveillance Solution provides information on:

• the websites visited by each employee and the active time spent on each of them
• the web applications used (Internet browser, online games, download applications, etc)

For example, an employee opens a web page (www.example1.com) and they browse the site for 5 minutes. Then, they open a new web page (www.example2.com) and leave the first page in the background all day without going back to it. In this case, the active time considered by Cyclope for www.example1.com will be a total of 5 minutes.

Note: active time means the effective time the user spends on the website / document / chat with a 45 seconds margin.

Note: Cyclope does not monitor any details related to the content (screenshots) of visited web pages, documents or chat windows that your employees use.

Document Monitoring

Cyclope reveals the documents your employees were using and the active time spent on each one of them.

The following type of documents are monitored:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Open Office,
• Adobe, Autocad, Arhicad and other similar software,
• ERP, Project Management or payroll programs.

File Activity

Beside the documents' name and the time spent on each document, Cyclope also monitors:

• The operations performed on documents, such us create / copy / modify / delete
• Date, time, duration and the corresponding drive the activity was made on
• One can select to view only the file activity recorded on fixed drives (hard disk) or only the one recorded on removable drives (memory stick, memory card, portable hard-disk, etc).

Chat or Instant Message Applications monitoring

Cyclope provides information about each employee's chat conversations:

• Who is each employee chatting with (the IDs) and the duration of each conversation.
• You will know if the chat sessions were work related (with colleagues or customers) or personal.

Note: Cyclope does not monitor any details related to the content (screenshots, text) of chat conversations of your employees.

Productivity Report

The employee monitoring software developed by Cyclope-Series is specially designed to inform and equip management with statistics relating to the productivity of staff within their organization. You can now monitor the employees' activity on the applications you previously set as productive or unproductive.

• You can define the productivity level for each category of application (Internet Explorer browsing for instance) as well as for each individual activity (like visited websites for instance).
• The productivity report shows all the applications used by an employee and the active time spend on each application.

Application Usage

• Cyclope allows you to monitor the employees' activity on the applications you set as productive or unproductive.
• Information like all the applications run and the active time spent on them is provided.

Attendance monitoring

If you associate the employee's arrival at the office and his or her departure with the first and the last action performed on the computer, you will be able to see:

• The start work hour for each employee, every day
• The end work hour

Overtime monitoring

The application's administrator can define the work schedule, thus Cyclope will allow you to monitor the employees' activity during the work schedule and during overtime.

In this way you can determine whether the overtime payment claimed by employees is justified.

Tops

The Top section enables comparisons between staff according to their (in)activity or (un)productivity level.

You can also see the top of the most visited websites or the most used applications in your company.

Laptop monitoring

Cyclope also monitors the activity of employees who work on laptops or on computers which are not connected to the network all the time.

Once you install the software on a laptop it will collect the reports and it will update them once the employee is connected to the network

Alerts

Using the Alerts option, the manager can define rules for each employee or group related to employees activity. The alerts are activated only if the employee's activity does not comply with the defined rules. You can set the following types of alerts:

• Work schedule alert
• Idle time alert
• Online time alert
• Applications alert

The predefined alerts facilitate the employee's activity evaluation and helps identifying areas of abuse or malpractice.
